This scholarship is available to: College Junior / College Senior / Graduate Students / College Sophomore
GPA requirement: 3.7
Open only to United States citizens who (by the time they take up their Scholarship) hold a first degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States with a minimum GPA of 3.7. To qualify for 2010 awards, candidates must have graduated from their first undergraduate college or university after April 2007, and not have studied for, or hold a degree or degree-equivalent from a British University.

Application
Information:
Applicants for the Marshall Scholarship must be nominated by the university and so should seek mentorship as early as their junior year to maximize their prospects of putting forward a competitive application. To begin, it is recommended that students familiarize themselves with the Marshall Scholarship by carefully reviewing the program, its guidelines, requirements, tips, and application forms at the organization web site. The University of Oregon Faculty Representative for the Marshall Scholarship is Judith Baskin, Associate Dean of Humanities in the College of Arts and Sciences.
In order to begin the application process, applicants register online (at www.marshallscholarship.org) to open a scholarship file. Application materials must be completed electronically for review by the university representative no later than mid-September in order to meet the program's early October deadline. The university administrator only forwards the online applications for UO endorsed nominees.
